Legacy in Action: PBSC Air Showers Through Time, 1999 to Today
A history of PBSC air showers: from original standard setters to today’s innovations

For decades, PBSC air showers have supported critical cleanroom environments, keeping people and processes safe. Our original designs established benchmarks for personnel decontamination, offering reliable performance for the cleanrooms of that era. Twenty five years on, our commitment to innovation and quality continues, delivering advanced solutions for the evolving needs of cleanrooms and regulated sectors.

- No crane required for installation – fits through a standard doorway
Airflow & decontamination: high flow nozzles and return air integration
- High Flow version: 30 adjustable stainless steel nozzles (15 per side)
- Velocity: 30-32 m/s (approx. 98-105 ft/s), providing 3,670-3,900 m³/hr (approx. 2,160-2,295 CFM)
- Lowest nozzle only 21.5 cm (approx. 8.5 in) from finished floor
- Low level return air to AHU built into cubicle top

Lighting & controls: PLC options and operator interfaces for status and alarms
- PLC controlled 24VDC LED lighting that activates as the operator enters
- Control options: Siemens Logo (standard), Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens S7-1200 PLC
- S7-1200 option includes touchscreen for status and alarms
Efficiency & safety: low power use, validated filter performance and safe change options
- Low power usage: 10A, 1Ph, 110-230V
- Clean filter: 150 Pa / 32 m/s at 5 cm from nozzle
- Dirty filter: 300 Pa / 28 m/s at 5 cm from nozzle
- Safe Change Filter option allows safe and efficient filter replacement without compromising
- containment – ideal for high containment applications
