Bridge Farm Nurseries was established in 1988 to grow houseplants for the wholesale trade, with a focus on cultivating sustainably, with a research and development program dedicated to advancing the functional and therapeutic use of plants.
The facility is based in Lincolnshire and includes six acres of glasshouse cultivation space and specialist laboratories for tissue culture development, CO2 extraction, product formulation, and analytical testing.
Cultivation
Researching and developing better breeding programs to identify plant varieties with high levels of active molecules.
Process Chemistry
Having a team of experts in chemistry, plant science, and biotechnology who can isolate active molecules using sustainable techniques like extraction, fractionation, distillation, and enzymatic modification at their research and development facility.
Analytical Chemistry
Having an in-house analytical laboratory to fully test, analyse and characterize plant material at all stages of development.
Solutions/Results
PBSC, in association with Workbox UK, who have many years of experience providing turnkey project delivery for commercial premises including, design, build, fit out, refurbishment, and furniture, contributed with efficient and safe cleanroom solutions to help towards the continued advanced research undertaken at the Bridge Farm and its unique capabilities and expertise in cultivation and plant science.
PBSC works to improve products to enhance research trial accuracy, with standard or bespoke components installed into a manner of different wall types. Offering a vast selection of products
designed for cleanroom and containment control purposes.
Products supplied:
- 2 x Stainless Steel 316 Vision Panels 1000 x 1000mm
- 7 x Stainless Steel 316 Vision Panels 1400 x 1000mm
PBSC provided vision panels with a flush glazed finish and no visible fixings to either side, aiding attention to detail, and were an indispensable component and ideal for this facility.
This multipurpose panel allows natural light and visibility for safety and functionality, aiding in the reduction of possible contamination.
The subframes were complete with secure fixings, manufactured to suit the wall thickness.
