This panel is highly versatile and comes in different types, one of which is a standard double-glazed vision panel. The panel has a flush-glazed finish set in a polished stainless-steel architrave, providing excellent visibility for protection and functionality while allowing natural light into the room. It is an essential feature in cleanroom environments where visibility is necessary to aid in reducing potential contamination.
These vision panels can be custom-made to fit any building and are used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, laboratories, healthcare, and biotech. They are available in 304 or 316 stainless steel and can also be retrofitted into existing buildings.
PBSC also offers a lead shielding vision panel. This panel can deliver up to 12mm lead equivalency, making it suitable for various applications such as code 5, code 6, code 7, and more. Lead shielding is a method of radiation protection that involves using lead to shield individuals or objects. PBSC provides different sizes of panels, and as the lead shielding equivalency increases, the size may vary accordingly.
Also available is PBSC’s fire-rated vision panel which has been tested to meet the standards of BS 476 part 22 and EN 1364-1:1999. This panel provides up to 120 minutes of fire resistance with a flush-glazed finish. The clear fire glass is securely held between two outer panes of toughened glass and is fixed within a unique sub-frame specifically designed to match the wall thickness. Additionally, stainless-steel reveal liners are fully concealed to provide extra security.
When standard external windows are in use, a secondary glazed vision panel can be provided and is engineered to deliver flush glazing to the inside of any cleanroom or controlled environment, manufactured with high-quality components.
PBSC's vision panels offer a multitude of features such as reliable performance, effortless cleaning, and customization to fit various wall thicknesses. The flush-glazed panels are present on both sides of the window, and the screen-printed borders are bonded to the glass. Additionally, overlapping flanges are available on both sides of the opening. Customers can choose from acoustic upgrades and a PPC finish in any RAL/BS color.

These specialized windows are available in double or single glazing with a polished stainless-steel frame. Additionally, PBSC provides window systems that use structural silicone to aid in finishing the wall. These windows are mechanically sealed to the wall with a compression gasket, providing a friendly and functional environment while featuring simple pressure testing. Essential in controlled environments from BSL2 to BSL4-Ag.
