Overview
PBSC’s high containment APR door set also known as High Containment Doors, Hospital Doors, Lab Doors, Laboratory Doors, Stainless Steel Doors, APR Doors, and Cleanroom Doors, features a flexible seal that securely compresses against the doorframe, ensuring a reliable airtight barrier.
This high containment mechanical seal door set comes in your choice of stainless steel or machined HPL door leaves. Both options have been tested to withstand 2500PA (10″ W.G.). The door set can be connected to an access control system if required. To ensure a tight seal, we use a stainless steel arm to compress the combed edge of the frame against the seal. Our mechanical mechanism is mounted in the door frame, reducing the weight of the door and improving maintenance.

The door frame features a stainless steel arm that can easily compress the combed edge against the seal. This mechanical mechanism is installed within the frame, which ensures that the door is lighter and easier to maintain.
PBSC offers an Access Control System for building entrances, centrally managed via a PBSC control panel, which is available upon request.
Operation of this airtight door is a straightforward one-handed maneuver available on both sides of the door.

Materials of construction:
- 304 Stainless Steel
- 316 Stainless Steel
Sub-Frame type:
- Bolted Sub-Frame (Stud Partition, Block, or Modular Partition Wall) – 5mm zintec steel to be fixed into the wall to form the engineered structural opening. Available with a compression seal to the door frame.
- Cast-In Door Frame (Concrete Wal) – The door frame is designed to be fully cast into the wall at the time of shuttering. The door frame is filled with concrete during the casting process and no site welding or grout fill is required. The door frame is designed with stops for the performance coating.
- Cast Sub-Frame (Concrete Wall) – 5mm stainless steel grade 304 to be cast into the concrete walls to form the structural opening. Available with a compression seal or welded seal to the door frame. If welded, please advise if the frame will require grout filling on-site.
Vision Panels:
- Radius double-glazed vision panel with 6mm thick toughened glass panes.
- Small Squire double-glazed vision panel with 6mm thick toughened glass panes.
Both options are bonded to the top section of the door panel for a flush finish to both sides, with various sizes available depending on your project needs.

Both are constructed from 5mm and 3mm stainless steel sections with radiused corners.

Airtight Barrier:
