PBSC’s Architectural Range

PBSC’s transfer hatches/pass-throughs, cleanroom door sets and vision panels within our architectural range are specifically designed for use in cleanroom applications, with minimal flush designs, minimal visible fixings and excellent scratch/wear resistance.

Emergency Escape Panel – AR-BOP

The Emergency Escape Panel, also known as a service access panel, kick-out panel, or break-out panel provides a quick escape from a containment-controlled or clean room environment. Being regularly used as a window that can be easily removed for equipment access routes during planned shutdowns.

PBSC’s break-out panel or BOP is quick to remove, taking around 6 seconds to fully remove the lightweight panel giving a fast means of escape when needed.

Whilst intended for personnel escape it is also commonly used for equipment access during shutdowns.

Glass Door Sets – AR-Dg

The cleanroom glass door is a preferred hospital door choice incorporating the renowned PBSC wrap-around door frame, with its robust and clean design giving a showpiece appearance to any facility whilst providing exceptional functionality with the combination of toughened glass door leaf within the clean lines of the stainless-steel frame.

Being a popular choice for many cleanroom applications, admired as it creates an “OPEN SPACE” feel, making the door set a favored option for operatives working with the restrictions of a laboratory environment.

Phenolic Resin Door Sets – AR-Dp

Being ideal for cleanroom, corrosive and laboratory environments, the PBSC’s phenolic resin doors are incredibly tough. Meticulously engineered and manufactured with a solid core of chemical grade phenolic resin, these doors are resistant to most chemicals and cleaning agents.

Unlike metal doors, they have greater resistance to damage and importantly, they have no hollow cavities where contamination can ingress.

Improving the looks of any facility incorporation the renowned PBSC wrap-around doorframe featuring clean uninterrupted lines with concealed door system and solid stainless-steel hinges.

Steel Door Sets – AR-Ds

PBSC’s cleanroom steel door is a robust steel door system, well-engineered with its flush panel and seamless frame.

Being one of PBSC’s original doors, specifically developed with a cleanroom environment in mind, standing the test of time with its precision design and reputation for lasting durability and quality.

PBSC’s cleanroom door set is purpose-built for laboratories with true flush glazing to both sides of the door leaf, and no fixings or rebates to eliminate possible contamination.

Available in single or double door construction – bespoke to fit existing walls.

Transfer Hatch, Fire Rated – AR Hf/Tf

When a transfer hatch needs to be located in a firewall, PBSC provides a tested and certified pass-through with a wall or floor-mounted options with vision panels in the stainless-steel door leaves.

Being tested to BS476 part 22 with an integrity certification from 60 to 90 minutes. The transfer hatches also offer insulation properties for 30 minutes when insulation and integrity are required from the pass-through hatch.

Transfer Hatch, Trolley – AR-Ht

The trolley hatch from PBSC is designed to allow wheeled trolleys to be passed between different grade rooms and is strong and robust providing easy cleaning and maintenance.

Fixing directly to the finished flooring, providing a clean and uninterrupted floor through the hatch.

Transfer Hatch – Wall Mounted – AR-H

Available in a range of material constructions including phenolic resin, powder-coated steel, or polished stainless steel. The advanced design is strong and robust and provides easy cleaning and maintenance with PBSC’s reliable interlock system to aid you in the reduction of cross-contamination and pressure loss whilst passing product between lower and high classification areas.

Vision Panel, Double Glazed – AR-V

PBSC’s double-glazed vision panel provides a polished stainless-steel architrave with a flush-glazed finish. Having a flush glazed finish with no visible fixings to either side of the panel, made for facilities where it is vital to “see or be seen”.

PBSC provides secure fixings with the sub-frames, these are made to suit the wall thickness and stainless-steel reveal liners.

Vision Panel, Lead Shielding – AR-Vls

PBSC’s lead shielding vision panel delivers up to 12mm lead equivalency and is available for different applications including code 5, code 6, code 7 etc…

The lead shielding glazed screens have flush glazing in polished stainless-steel architraves and no visible fixings to either side which is in keeping with the clean and flush designs PBSC is renowned for.

Vision Panel, Fire Rated, AR-Vf

PBSC’s fire-rated vision panel provides a polished stainless-steel architrave and a flush-glazed finish. Providing up to 120 min fire resistance.

The fire glass is clear and clamped between the two outer panes of toughened glass which provides a finish with no visible fixings to either side.

Vision Panel, Secondary Glazing – AR-Vs

The secondary glazing vision panel from PBSC provides flush glazing to the inside of the laboratory where standard external windows are used on the outside of the building.
